Abstract:
A method for MBMS user quantity counting comprises setting different types of notifications each of which is to indicate the user equipment in at least one states to correspond to the user quantity counting, the network side delivers different types of notifications to the user equipment and monitors that the user equipment in at least one state joins the multimedia broadcasting multicast service according to the notifications in order to count the user number of each MBMS services. The method for MBMS user quantity counting of present invention enables the user number of each MBMS services to be counted accurately so that the rich air interface resource can be used sufficiently.
