Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE OF BIOLOGICAL ORIGIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/029171
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A technique is provided in which measurement precision can be increased or measurement time reduced in measurement of a physiologically active substance of biological origin, such as an endotoxin or β-D-glucan, in hyaluronic acid. A hyaluronic acid preparation and water for injection are heated to a temperature of 30−40°C, and the hyaluronic acid preparation is then diluted by a factor of 10−200 with the water for injection. The diluted specimen thus obtained is further brought to 36−40°C and mixed with AL reagent, and the concentration of an endotoxin or β-D-glucan is measured using a laser diffraction particle analyzer.
