Abstract:
Provided are: a novel method for enabling the micronization of rocks; and a method for removing or reducing heavy metals from rocks and/or soils. A first invention pertains to a method for micronizing rocks or soils, the method comprising the following steps performed in the following order: a step for performing a hydrothermal treatment on an aqueous slurry of rocks and/or soils at a temperature of 130℃ or more in a sealed space having an injection port; and a step for blasting substances held in the sealed space by abruptly opening the injection port toward a space in which an object, having a hard surface which has a Vickers hardness of 100 Hv or more and faces the injection port, is disposed nearly parallel to the injection port. A second invention pertains to a method for removing or reducing heavy metals from rocks and/or soil, the method comprising: a step for separating attached heavy metals from the object by washing, with water, the heavy metals attached to the surface of the object, after the object is treated by the hydrothermal treatment step and the blasting step which are performed in this order; a step for separating the object treated by the previous step from water; and a step for physically or chemically separating, from water, the heavy metals contained in the water in the previous step.
