Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for monitoring an energy storage power plant comprising a plurality of battery modules (1) which are designed in the form of redox flow batteries, said method having the following steps: S1: generating an excitation current I which varies over time and has a base frequency f and by means of which at least one battery module (1) is excited in order to carry out an impedance spectroscopy; S2: detecting the excitation current I and a response voltage V in a time-resolved manner; S3: calculating the impedance Z(ω), wherein ω=2πf; and S4: initiating maintenance work on the at least one battery module (1) if Re{Z(ω)} exceeds a defined threshold; and in step S1, the excitation current I is generated using a converter (9, 11). The base frequency of the generated excitation current f which varies over time is ≤ 20 Hz.
