Title:
METHOD FOR PREDICTING FORMATION OF BLOOD CLOTS OR RISK THEREOF IN MEDICAL DEVICE PERFORMING BLOOD CIRCULATION BY PUMP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/182171
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a means capable of predicting the formation of blood clots or the risk thereof in a medical device which performs blood circulation by a pump, by using a simple and minimally invasive technique. In this method for predicting the formation of blood clots or the risk thereof in a medical device which performs blood circulation by a pump, it is predicted that blood clots are formed or the risk thereof is present in the medical device when the concentration or expression amount of ADAM28 in a body fluid sample collected from a subject attached to the medical device is increasing from a baseline.
