Abstract:
Provided is a method for preparing amorphous obeticholic acid. The method comprises: (1) contacting an obeticholic acid raw material with an alkaline solution in order to obtain a first mixture containing obeticholic acid; (2) formulating an acidic solution and maintaining the acidic solution at a predetermined temperature; (3) adding the first mixture dropwise to the acidic solution to obtain a second mixture; (4) subjecting the second mixture to cooling precipitation, separating the solid, and vacuum drying the separated solid in order to obtain the amorphous obeticholic acid.
