Abstract:
A method of preparing a base for a memory disk for finishing the surface of a blank material with super precision and at the same time copying a texture of a die, by coining a blank material coated with nonmagnetic metal as undercoating on a nonmagnetic metal base thereof with two dies, upper one and lower one, having smooth surfaces and a pattern of some sort (texture) thereon, within a mandrel and a die ring which confine the spreading of the material.
