Abstract:
A method for preparing a halogenated indole glucoside and Tyrian purple. The method comprises: a halogenation step, involving halogenating tryptophan to obtain halogenated tryptophan; and a glucoside preparation step, involving mixing the halogenated tryptophan with a system for expressing glucoside to obtain a halogenated indole glucoside. The method enables the mass production of a water-soluble halogenated glycoside as a dye molecule, which is stored as a water-soluble substance. When dyeing is required, by simply impregnating a fabric with the halogenated glucoside and then spraying a deglycosylated enzyme produced by a microorganism, such as Escherichia coli, onto same, a Tyrian purple pigment can be directly formed inside the fabric, thereby completing the dyeing of the fabric.
