Provided is a method for preparing a monolithic oxidation catalyst for diesel vehicles. The chemical formula of the catalyst is [M2+ 1-xM3+ x(OH)2]x+·[Ny+ k]yk+·(An-)(x+yk)/n·mH2O, wherein M2+ comprises one or more of Zn2+, Co2+ or Mg2+, M3+ comprises one or more of Al3+ or Fe3+, Ny+ comprises one or more of Pt2+, Pd2+ or Rh3+, An- comprises CO3 2- or NO3 -, 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.33, 0 < k < 0.15, n is the valence number of anions, m is the amount of crystal water, and the value range of m is 0.5-9. In the method for preparing the catalyst, the carrier is placed in a prepared hydrotalcite precursor solution for in-situ crystallization at a certain temperature to enable the hydrotalcite to directly "grow" on the carrier, such that "one-pot" synthesis is achieved, the reaction process is simple, the processes of coating and impregnation during the preparation of the monolithic catalyst are avoided, and considerable manpower and time costs are saved on.
