Abstract:
Provided is a method for preparing a rice male sterile material and a related gene. Provided is a method for preparing male sterile rice, comprising: reducing the activity of a protein in a type of rice, reducing the content of the protein in the rice, and inhibiting the expression of a coding gene of the protein in the rice or knocking out the coding gene of the protein in the rice to obtain a type of male sterile rice; wherein the amino acid sequence of the protein is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 2. By means of the method, a rice humidity-sensitive male sterile material can be obtained, and thereby the rice fertility can be changed under different humidity conditions.
