Abstract:
A method for producing 1-acyloxy-2-methyl-2-propene, which is represented by general formula (II), by reacting a carboxylic acid represented by general formula (I), isobutylene and oxygen while in a liquid phase and in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the amount of isobutylene to be used is greater than 1 mole and no greater than 50 moles per 1 mole of the carboxylic acid.
