A method of producing an adaptation medium for astrocyte-like cells originating in embryonic stem cells characterized by culturing astrocyte-like cells obtained by the differentiation of embryonic stem cells; a medium obtained by this method; and use of this medium in culturing nerve cells and inducing the differentiation of embryonic stem cells into neural cells and so on.
