Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an aldehyde, comprising causing an olefin to undergo a hydroformylation reaction, in the presence of a catalyst, with a gas which contains hydrogen and carbon monoxide, said method comprising extracting, from a reaction band, part or all of a reaction solution in which a high-boiling-point by-product has been accumulated, mixing a poor solvent for the catalyst into the extracted reaction solution in a mixing tank, precipitating aggregates which contain the catalyst and the high-boiling-point by-product, depositing the precipitated aggregates on the inner surface of the mixing tank, and recovering the aggregates.
