Abstract:
A method for producing a β-alkoxypropionamide comprising synthesizing a transesterified polyol of a β-alkoxypropionic acid ester by subjecting a β-alkoxypropionic acid ester represented by formula (I) and a polyol having two or more OH groups to a transesterification reaction in the presence of a basic catalyst; and synthesizing a β-alkoxypropionamide represented by formula (III) by subjecting the transesterified polyol and an amine represented by formula (II) to an amidation reaction.
