Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing an aromatic compound or a salt thereof by using transformed cells capable of producing an aromatic compound or a salt thereof; and said transformed cells. The method for producing an aromatic compound or a salt thereof comprises a step for culturing transformed cells in which the expression of a multi-pass transmembrane-type polypeptide represented by the following (A) or (B) is enhanced. (A) is a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, and (B) is a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 76% identity with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2.
