Abstract:

A method for producing a ceramic structure which comprises adding an organic auxiliary to a mixture of ceramic raw materials and kneading the resultant product, to prepare a ceramic body, and subjecting the body to extrusion, characterized in that the organic auxiliary comprises, as its primary component, an organic compound having a turbidity (haze value) of a 5 wt % aqueous dispersion thereof of 10 to 90 %. The method allows the production of a ceramic structure having improved formability with high productivity and with a reduced load on a forming apparatus.
