Abstract:
Provided are a method for producing a coal briquette fuel and a coal briquette fuel that enable the desired strength to be achieved at a low cost. This method for producing a coal briquette fuel comprises: a crushing step 10 for crushing coal 1; a drying step 20 for drying coal 2 that was crushed in the crushing step 10; a grinding step 30 for grinding coal 3 that was dried in the drying step 20 to obtain coal particles 4; a shaping step 40 for shaping the coal particles 4 obtained in the grinding step 30 into a plate shape; a dividing step 50 for dividing an plate-shaped intermediate briquette 5 obtained in the shaping step 40; a polishing step 60 for polishing fragments 5a obtained in the dividing step 50; and a sieving step 70 for removing powder included in an intermediate polished body 9 obtained in the polishing step 60. The coal particles 4 obtained in the grinding step 30 have a mean particle size of 10 to 60 μm. A polished body 100 which is obtained in the polishing step 60 and from which the powder has been removed in the sieving step 70 is used as coal briquette fuel.
