Abstract:
Provided are a method for producing coal briquette fuel and a coal briquette fuel that enable the desired strength to be achieved at a low cost. This method for producing coal briquette fuel comprises: a crushing step 10 for crushing coal 1; a drying step 20 for drying coal 2 that was crushed in the crushing step 10; a grinding step 30 for grinding coal 3 that was dried in the drying step 20 to obtain coal particles 4; a shaping step 40 for shaping the coal particles 4 obtained in the grinding step 30 into a plate shape to obtain an intermediate briquette 5 containing a briquette 100; and a sieving step 50 for removing powder included in the intermediate briquette 5 obtained in the shaping step 40. The coal particles 4 obtained in the grinding step 30 have a mean particle size of 10 to 60 μm. A briquette 100 which is obtained in the shaping step 40 and from which the powder has been removed in the sieving step 50 is used as coal briquette fuel.
