Abstract:
The present invention provides: a method for producing a composition, the method being capable of producing a composition which has excellent storage stability and is capable of forming a magnetic material that exhibits high magnetic permeability and low magnetic loss; a magnetic material; and an electronic component. A method for producing a composition according to the present invention comprises a step in which a composition is obtained by supplying magnetic particles, an organic solvent and a rheology control agent into a mixing device, and stirring and mixing those materials therein. The content of the magnetic particles relative to the total mass of the components supplied to the mixing device is 80 to 95% by mass; the stirring peripheral speed during the stirring and mixing is 2.0 to 5.0 m/sec; the viscosity of the composition as measured at the temperature of 25°C and the shear rate of 0.1 sec-1 is 0.5 to 500 Pa∙s; and the viscosity of the composition as measured at the temperature of 25°C and the shear rate of 10 sec-1 is 0.01 to 100 Pa∙s.
