Abstract:
In one aspect, a method for producing an extract composition is provided, whereby it becomes possible to extract an essential oil component such as a polyphenol, e.g., apigenin apigenin, and/or a spiro ether with high efficiency from a herbaceous plant after the harvest of the herbaceous plant. In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a method for producing an extract composition, which comprises the following steps (1) and (2). (1) A step for applying an oxidative stress to a herbaceous plant that has been harvested and storing the herbaceous plant. (2) A step for producing an extract from the herbaceous plant that has been subjected to step (1).
