Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing fibrous cellulose that exhibits excellent heat resistance and an excellent resin-reinforcing effect and a method for producing a high-strength fibrous cellulose composite resin. [Solution] The method for producing fibrous cellulose has a step for substituting hydroxy groups in cellulose fibers by carbamate groups and a step for defibrating the cellulose fibers so that the average fiber width becomes 0.1-19 μm; the substitution step has a heating step; a drying step is provided prior to this heating step; and the substitution is carried out so that the 5% weight loss temperature when the cellulose fibers are heated in an absolutely dry state (5°C/min, 105→350°C) becomes 240°C or higher. Also, fibrous cellulose is obtained by the above method and this fibrous cellulose is mixed with resin in the method for producing a fibrous cellulose composite resin.
