Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing N-vinylcarboxylic amide capable of suppressing blockage problems of a pyrolysis reactor caused by resins and also capable of operating stably and continuously over an extended period of time. A method for producing N-vinylcarboxylic amide, the method comprising a supply step S1 for supplying N-(1-alkoxyethyl)carboxylic amide as a raw material to an evaporator, an evaporation step S2 for evaporating the raw material in the evaporator and creating a vaporized raw material, and a pyrolysis step S4 for supplying the vaporized raw material to a pyrolysis reactor and pyrolyzing the vaporized raw material, wherein: the method for producing N-vinylcarboxylic amide furthermore includes a recovery step S3 for recovering a liquid raw material that has not been vaporized among the raw material supplied to the evaporator and a liquid raw material obtained by liquefying some of the vaporized raw material, the recovery step S3 taking place between the evaporation step S2 and the pyrolysis step S4; and the recovery step S3 involves recovering the liquid raw material using a raw material recovery device provided between the evaporator and the pyrolysis reactor.
