Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a particulate polymer whereby the particle size of the particulate polymer can be controlled with the use of a relatively small amount of a surfactant. The method according to the present invention for producing a particulate polymer is characterized by comprising a step for polymerizing a vinyl group-containing monomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of surfactin salt (1) and a polymerization initiator, wherein the concentration of the surfactin salt (1) in a polymerization solution is determined in accordance with formulae (a)-(c) depending on the desired particle size of the particulate polymer.
