Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing powder containing zirconia particles and a fluorescent agent, the method being capable of conveniently producing a zirconia sintered body having both high light transmittance and high strength despite including the fluorescent agent. The present invention pertains to a method for producing powder containing zirconia particles and a fluorescent agent, said method comprising: a mixing step for mixing a zirconia particle-containing slurry and a liquid fluorescent agent; and a drying step for drying the slurry containing the zirconia particles and the fluorescent agent. The fluorescent agent contains a metal element; the content of the fluorescent agent in the powder is preferably 0.001-1 mass% in terms of an oxide of the metal element with respect to the mass of zirconia; the average primary particle diameter of the zirconia particles is preferably 30 nm or less; and the zirconia particles preferably contain 2.0-9.0 mol% of yttria.
