Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a zirconia particle-containing powder that enables the convenient production of a zirconia sintered body that combines high transparency with high strength. The present invention relates to a method for producing a zirconia particle-containing powder, wherein the production method has a drying step for spray drying a zirconia particle-containing slurry, the average primary particle diameter of the zirconia particles is not more than 30 nm, and the dispersion medium in the slurry contains a liquid having a surface tension at 25°C of not more than 50 mN/m. The zirconia particles preferably contain 2.0-9.0 mol% yttria, and the content of the liquid in the dispersion medium is preferably at least 50 mass%.
