Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for producing a plant-derived proteoglycan, the method comprising, for example, a step for extracting proteoglycan from a plant, etc. This method is for producing a plant-derived proteoglycan having a molecular weight more than 10,000 but not more than 5,000,000, the method comprising: a step for dissolving gum ghatti by using water as a solvent; and a step for performing molecular weight fractionation on the solution obtained in the dissolving step.
