Abstract:
The present invention is a method for obtaining a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization by contacting and reacting together a magnesium compound, a tetravalent titanium halide compound, and the electron donor compound represented by the belowmentioned general formula (1), (R1)kC6H4-k(COOR2)(COOR3) (1), then contacting and reacting together the solid component obtained by washing, a tetravalent titanium halide compound, and the electron donor compound represented by the belowmentioned general formula (2), R4R5C(COOR6)2 (2), and then washing. If a catalyst formed from the solid catalyst component obtained by said method is used, it is possible to obtain a polymer having a high bulk density, high stereoregularity, and high activity with respect to hydrogen.
