Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a very-long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid, the method comprising reacting a compound represented by formula II of R1-MgX1 and a compound represented by formula III of X2-(CH2)m-X in a solvent to obtain a compound represented by formula I of R1-(CH2)m-X.
