Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a water-absorbing resin composition, the method imparting high gel stability, suppressing an increase in the amount of water-absorbing resin particles that are dissolved by a sulfite compound, and suppressing yellowing that could occur under a high temperature and high humidity. This method for producing a water-absorbing resin composition comprises a step for spraying an aqueous solution of a sulfite compound on surface-crosslinked water-absorbing resin particles, and a step for spraying an aqueous solution of an organic antioxidant on the surface-crosslinked water-absorbing resin particles.
