Abstract:
Provided is a water-absorbing resin composition that, as a hygiene product material, achieves: water-absorbing resin composition gel-stability when the product is worn as intended; and high workability when the water-absorbing resin composition is subjected to decomposition following UV ray irradiation conducted as a waste disposal means. The water-absorbing resin composition contains absorbent resin particles and a chelate agent, wherein: the surface of the absorbent resin particles is subjected to crosslinking treatment; and the chelate agent has an iron (III) chelate stability constant of 16-24 log KML and has 4-10 carboxyl groups.
