Abstract:
The method that separates a fermentation inhibitor and sugar from a sugar solution that contains a fermentation inhibitor and recovers the sugar is a method that includes using water as an eluent to separate the fermentation inhibitor and the sugar based on the difference in retention time after having brought the sugar solution that contains a fermentation inhibitor into contact with a basic anion exchange resin packed in a column, and separately recovering a fraction that contains the fermentation inhibitor and a fraction that contains the sugar, in which the basic anion exchange resin is pretreated by a solution that contains a fermentation inhibitor.
