A method of shaping a metal plate, in which shaping is performed in such a way as to prevent the metal plate from fracturing, without changing the metal plate material or the shaping process, characterized in that a reinforcing member is joined to part of the metal plate prior to shaping, and the metal plate is subsequently shaped.
