Abstract:
A method a system and a device for distributing and receiving the multicast data in a media gateway are disclosed, such that the media gateway can receive and distribute the multicast data. A method for implementing that the media gateway receives the multicast data includes: a media gateway MG receives the indication associated with the multicast that sended from the media gateway controller MGC, and reports the corresponding information to a router in the multicast source network side for joining the multicast group according to the indication; MG receives the multicast data distuibuted from the multicast source. A method for implementing that the media gateway distributes the multicast data includes: MG receives the indication associated with the multicast that sended from MGC; MG distributes the corresponding multicast data to the users in the receiving network side in the form of multicast based on the indication.
