Provided are a method for ultrasonic photography using aperture compounding and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for same. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a probe transmitting an ultrasonic signal into an object to receive an ultrasonic echo signal reflected from the object; a beamformer collecting the ultrasonic echo signal to form a reception signal, thereby generating frame data corresponding to the reception signal; an aperture compounding part controlling the beam former to allow the beamformer to apply at least one of the aperture value or the weight value of each piece of frame data when the frame data is generated; a signal processing unit processing the generated frame data into a digital signal; and a scan converter converting the digital signal processed frame data to display the converted frame data, wherein the scan converter outputs the converted frame data through a display unit. According to said embodiment, the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus may photograph the object by applying values having different properties to the frame data having an ultrasonic image time difference to further improve image quality.
