Abstract:
A method of using a translating window capable of venting harmful oil fumes in the kitchen air, the method comprising: a wind plate (2) is disposed on the inner side edge (11) of a window frame (1); a groove (22) mating with the inner side edge (11) is provided at the periphery of the wind plate (2); a cavity (21) is provided at the upper portion of the wind plate (2); an exhaust fan (4) is provided at the upper portion of a side of the window frame (1) corresponding to the wind plate (2); the exhaust fan (4) is connected to the window frame (1) via a framework (41); the lower portion of the framework (41) is connected with a hinge to an air blocking panel (43); when in use, the air blocking panel (43) rotates, under negative pressure, from a natural hanging state into a position blocking the gap (51) between the inner end face (42) of the exhaust fan (4) and a window sash. The translating window in use can vent oil fumes in the kitchen air without damaging the original window structure.
