Abstract:
A method of wood processing in which forming is easily carried out while realizing
a variety of woodgrain patterns. The method of wood processing includes the
bending step (step S1) of imparting bending to a wood raw material as a processing
object placed in a high-temperature humid condition; the forming step (step
S2) of forming, from the raw wood having bending imparted thereto in the bending
step, a blank wood containing at least part of a locality having bending imparted
thereto within the raw wood; and the compression step (step S4) of applying compressive
force to the blank wood resulting from the forming step in a steam environment
of temperature and pressure both higher than those of the atmosphere.
