Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for performing entropy decoding on a video signal, the method comprising the steps of: receiving at least one bitstream including a plurality of bins; and performing entropy decoding on the bitstream, wherein the step of performing entropy decoding comprises the steps of: performing initialization for binary arithmetic decoding; checking the next probability state from a multi-input probability state transition table predefined on the basis of a current probability state, wherein the predefined multi-input probability state transition table indicates the next probability state values for all the possible combinations between the plurality of bins and the current probability state; calculating a new interval length from a multi-input interval length table predefined on the basis of the current probability state, wherein the predefined multi-input interval length table indicates a table for approximating the products of interval lengths and probabilities; and determining the values of the plurality of bins on the basis of the new interval length.
