The present invention relates to a micro generator and a power generation method using a liquid droplet, for generating electricity using an alternating current voltage induced by a change of a contact area between an electrode plate and the liquid droplet due to a vibration. The micro generator according to the present invention comprises: a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate which are arranged to be adjacent to each other and to face each other; a liquid droplet, having ions, positioned between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate; and a generating part for generating electricity using an alternating current voltage generated between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate when the areas, in which the liquid droplet contacts the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate, change as time goes by due to a vibration of at least one of the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate, wherein at least one of the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate additionally has at least one property of a hydrophobic property and a hydrophilic property.
