Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) receives a first system information block (SIB) and decodes a non-critical information element included in the first SIB. The UE also receives a first system information (SI) message comprising a second SIB during a first SI window when the non-critical information element comprises scheduling information for the second SIB. A base station configures scheduling information for a legacy system information block (SIB) in a standard scheduling information list element of a first SIB. The base station also configures scheduling information for a second SIB in a non- critical extension information element of the first SIB. The base station transmits the first SIB to a user equipment (UE).
