Abstract:
A mobile robot according to the present invention moves on rails configured using at least one power-supplying rail and at least one non–power-supplying rail, the mobile robot comprising: a power receiving unit that receives electric power from the power-supplying rail(s) among the rails; a movement motor that generates a driving force for moving on the rails; a control unit that controls a counter that counts a first number of revolutions of the movement motor; and a calculation unit that calculates the current position of the mobile robot on the rails on the basis of whether or not electric power is received and the first number of revolutions.
