Abstract:
The present invention suppresses loss caused when a mode field is converted. This mode field conversion optical circuit converts the mode field of light propagating through an optical waveguide, and comprises: a mode field converter that is connected to a core of the optical waveguide and converts the mode field of the light; and reflection structures installed at intervals along the optical axis direction of the mode field converter.
