Abstract:
This modified polyvinyl acetal resin has acetal group units, acetyl group units, hydroxyl group units, and fourth side chain units. The ratio of the fourth side chain units to the total units is 10 mass% or greater, and the ratio of the acetyl group units to the total units is 2.5-9 mass% inclusive. The present invention makes it possible to provide a modified polyvinyl acetal resin that has exceptional flexibility and is less likely to yellow, and to provide a film including the modified polyvinyl acetal resin.
