Abstract:
Disclosed is a modular robot system which can be configured by assembling a plurality of cube-type unit robots. A modular robot system provided according to one aspect of the present invention comprises N cube-type unit robots (here, N is an integer that is greater than or equal to 2), each of the N cube-type unit robots comprising: a housing in the shape of a regular hexahedron; a step motor installed in the housing; and a controller installed in the housing and controlling the step motor. The housing has, on one surface thereof, a mounting groove in which a rotor that rotates by a rotary shaft of the step motor can be mounted, and the housing has, on the other surfaces thereof, a connection groove in the same shape. By means of a connector to be mounted in the connection groove, connection to another cube-type unit robot is possible.
