Abstract:
Disclosed is a mold release agent having as active components a polyfluoroalkyl phosphonic acid represented by the general formula CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cP(O)(OH)2 (n is an integer from 1 to 6, a is an integer from 1 to 4, b is an integer from 1 to 3, and c is an integer from 1 to 3) or a salt thereof, and a polyfluoroalkyl phosphonate oxyalkylene ester represented by the general formula CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cP(O)[O(RO)mR']d(OH)2-d (RO is a straight-chain or branched oxyalkylene group having 2-6 carbon atoms, R' is a hydrogen atom or an aralkyl group or an alkyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms, n is an integer from 1 to 6, a is an integer from 1 to 4, b is an integer from 1 to 3, c is an integer from 1 to 3, d is an integer from 1 to 2, and m is an integer from 1 to 100). Although having as an active component a polyfluoroalkyl phosphonate oxyalkylene ester having a perfluoroalkyl group having no more than 6 carbon atoms, which are said to have low bioaccumulation properties, this mold release agent has mold release properties similar to mold release agents having as an active component a compound having a perfluoroalkyl group having at least 8 carbon atoms.
