Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a molybdenum crucible that has a structure capable of simultaneously preventing leakage of a molten liquid and securing the strength of the crucible. A molybdenum crucible 100 according to the present invention has: a cylindrical side wall part 21; and a bottom part 3 integrally provided at one end of the side wall part 21. The side wall part 21 has: a coarse grain region 31 provided from an outer wall 13 toward an inner wall 11; and a fine grain region 33 provided from the inner wall 11 toward the outer wall 13 so as to come into contact with the coarse grain region 31. The proportion of the coarse grain region 31 in the thickness direction of the side wall part 21 is not less than 10% but less than 90%. The coarse grain region 31 is a region in which crystal grains, having grain sizes calculated by an intercept method to be equal to or larger than 1 mm in the height direction of the crucible, constitute 95% or more of the area of a measurement region, and the fine grain region 33 is a region in which crystal grains, having grain sizes calculated by the intercept method to be 10-500 μm in the height direction of the crucible, constitute 95% or more of the area of the measurement region.
