Abstract:
Provided are a monitoring system, a sewing machine, and a monitoring method, with which an information terminal can notify a user of the state of the sewing machine, even when a session between the sewing machine and the information terminal is disconnected or the information terminal cannot receive the data transmitted from the sewing machine. When the sewing state changes, the sewing machine 2A detects the changed sewing state (S261). When a state request for requesting the sewing state is transmitted from the information terminal 3A via a LAN, the sewing machine 2A receives the state request and transmits sewing state information corresponding to the detected sewing state to the information terminal 3A. When the detected sewing state satisfies a predetermined condition (S269: YES), the sewing machine 2A transmits, to the server 5, a notification request including identification information for identifying the information terminal so as to cause the server 6 to transmit, to the information terminal 3A, a notification instruction for instructing the information terminal 3A to make a push notification (S271).
