Abstract:
A motor control device can perform the drive control of a stepping motor in association with pre-excitation in which, before or when starting to drive the stepping motor, excitation is performed over a first time with a current lower than that during the driving and post-excitation in which, when or after stopping the driving of the stepping motor, excitation is performed over a second time with a current lower than that during the driving. When the post-excitation in the previous stop of driving of the stepping motor and the pre-excitation in the next start of driving of the stepping motor are performed without interposing a non-excitation state, the post-excitation and the pre-excitation are made contiguous over a time shorter than the sum of the first time and the second time.
