Abstract:
The present invention comprises an inverter (30) for driving a motor (7) that can switch connection of windings thereof and drives a load element having a periodically fluctuating load torque, wherein: the inverter (30) is controlled such that an output torque from the motor (7) follows the periodic fluctuation in the load torque; the inverter (30) is controlled such that a current flowing through the motor is zero during a period including a torque minimum phase in which the load torque has a minimum value or a value close to the minimum value; and the connection is switched while the current flowing through the motor (7) is zero. The connection of the windings can be switched during rotation of the motor, and an increase in size of equipment can be avoided.
