Title:
MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/015239
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A travel motor used for vehicles comprises a stator, a rotor, and a housing holding them, the rotor having a support member for preventing a rotor magnet from separating from a steel sheet lamination, the steel sheet lamination having a plurality of first steel sheets each formed with a slot through which the rotor magnet extends, and a second steel sheet against which the insertion direction front end of the rotor magnet abut, the pluralities of first and second steel sheets having the same contour. Further, the housing is internally provided with a controller for feeding electric power to the coil of the motor, and a sensor for detecting the position of the rotor. Further, the housing comprises a first housing member that covers the stator and rotor, a second housing member that partitions the interior of the housing, and a third housing member that covers the controller. Bearings for the rotor are disposed in the first and second housing members.
