Abstract:
In this mould fabrication method, an original plate 10 having, provided to a patterned area 10D of a base 10C, a protruded pattern 10A formed from a plurality of protrusions 12, and a thermoplastic resin sheet 20 are prepared, the original plate 10 and the thermoplastic resin sheet 20 are moved relative to each other to dispose the original plate 10 in a position where the original plate is to be pressed into the thermoplastic resin sheet 20, the protrusions 12 of the heated original plate 10 are pressed into the thermoplastic resin sheet 20 to a position in which the section of the patterned area 10D of the original plate 10 which does not include the protrusions 12 is separated from the surface 20B of the thermoplastic resin sheet 20, the original plate 10 is cooled while the thermoplastic sheet 20 and the protrusions 12 pressed therein are in contact with each other, and the original plate 10 and the thermoplastic resin sheet 20 are separated from each other to form a recessed pattern 20A in the thermoplastic resin sheet 20.
